And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
If you are within any reasonable distance, you MUST visit Crater Lake. Visit once in summer and once on a perfect winter day in February. There is nothing else anywhere than can compare.

We live in Medford, Oregon, so we're able to go to the lake frequently. We're seldom disappointed - the only exceptions have been during extreme fire conditions; friends from Holland visited and wanted to see the lake - we took them, and they could not see the lake for the smoke. But with a free Senior pass to get in, it's a wonderful place to visit.
