Legitimate mid April snow squall going on right now at north Tahoe

  1. I remember 52 years ago getting about a foot on April 14, 1969 in New Jersey. But of course that was before Global Warming.

  2. In 1979, I think it was, I lived at 4200' in the Sierra. It was during the first week of April it snowed a foot a day for 6 days straight. All I did for 6 days was keep the fire going, shovel snow off the roofs and attempt to keep the mile of road out to the state highway clear.
    The power went out on the first day. When the storm finally cleared and I was able to get out to the highway and into town. It looked like a bomb had gone off. Broken trees and downed lines everywhere.
    Fortunately I was young and full of piss and vinegar then. I wouldn't want to go through that at my age today.
