FOD - Foreign Object Debris
Anybody seen Bill? He was supposed to tie the tent down. He had 1 job.
India? or Pakistan?
So someone needed a canvas shredded into pieces, and they called out the local military chopper, who answered the call posthaste, and BAM! job done, and they return to barracks.... something like that?
India, and it did damage the helo
Mi-17 be made of thin steel sheet and armored. the blades are tough also.
Many years ago....A friend and fellow tech I have known for decades was working at a resort hospital in the Sierra's. The ER was transferring a patient via helicopter to a higher level facility and they sent this person out to meet the helicopter with a gurney for the special stretcher that the helicopters use. Not thinking he grabbed a regular gurney...one with the sheet still on it and waited at the edge of the helipad. As the helicopter was descending the obvious happened....the sheet was whipped off the gurney and wrapped itself around the rotor blade.....the helicopter tipped precariously, the sheet was thrown clear and the pilot was able to recover and land successfully. Said pilot wanted to kill my friend for not thinking. He said he did three tours in Vietnam and NEVER came as close to dying as he did that evening. Needless to say from then on we called my friend "bladehopper".
maybe just imagining, but since my computer was having a slow load of the GIF, there are two points in the video where the foreign object looks like a wraith/grim reaper. Then, the helo says, "Enough of you, go away."
