And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In The Coast Guard I was in the C-130s for a while (this story was from CGAS Sacramento), one day a flight came back early. Seems it was hit by lightning! There was a 6-8" hole in the raydome on the front and the guys riding in back said a ball of lightning came out of the bulkhead and shot to the back right down the middle of the airplane!
