It begins - the new Ice Age

  1. I hate to tell you this CW, but it is not possible to begin a new ice age, when we are already in the middle of one. We have been in an ice age (the Pleistocene) FOR THE LAST 2.58 million years now. What you are really trying to tell others is that the planet is about to enter yet one more "glaciation", i.e. "stadial". We are currently at the tail end of this present "inter-glacial", i.e. "tje Holocene", and slowly dropping into the next one which will last for around another 100,000 years, followed by another "inter-glacial".

Some will say "What difference does it make? The ice sheets are going to be heading
south." It makes a difference because it puts to rest the saying "At the end of the last ice age" manure. An ice age is the book, and glaciations are chapters in that book. Sorry for nit-picking but this "Global Warming" crap has to stop, or we will never be prepared for the next glaciation.
