And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

NOT a smart product - at all.
It's incredible to me that adults, somewhere, thought a "smart" lightbulb was a good idea.
These are the kind of monotonous procedures that computers excel at, but people find mind-numbing - esp. when presented as a video. The new procedure appears to be simpler to remember and perform: Turn on light for 8s, turn off for 2s. Repeat until light resets. The old procedure had a pattern of 8s and 2s “on” times that had to be followed, making it more difficult to execute. New reset procedure: Turn off lightbulb, unscrew lightbulb from socket, throw lightbulb in garbage, replace with non-smart lightbulb.
