Russian anti-ship missiles for coastal defence orient themselves at launch from r/interestingasfuck

  1. They are cool, and they avoid that ballistic trajectory that makes them easier to intercept immediately after launch. However "fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man." - George S. Patton

  2. "Bastion" Heavy Anti-Ship Cruise Missile. 8 x 8 Truck carries 2, Set to Launch in less than 5 Minutes from Wheel Stop, truck is Gone again in 3. Missiles fly at Low Altitude @ 3x speed of Sound. If 3 or More are Fired together, Lead Missile flies Higher and Uses it Radar, trailing Missiles Drop Down to 20 Meters and go Silent, following the Leader. Defenders see the Lead Missile, not the others until "It's Too Late."
If the Lead gets Hit, the Next one Takes over Guidance, until the Target(s) are Closed to, then they go to individual Targeting. Two of these will likely Sink an Aircraft Carrier. Vids are out there of Target Ships like 800-foot Freighters going Down in ten Minutes after 2 of these. Don't F**k with the Bear.
