It's all about increasing the power of government, and decreasing your freedom.

The US repeals the legal ban on government propaganda, and seeks to spread government made news to the Sheeple.

As if having the major networks at their beck and call isn't enough.

Once again, it's less for you and more for them.

I'm not sure how much of a change we will see initially, but I suspect that as time goes by, there will be a more aggressive effort by the government to dominate the news, and this is simply one more way to make that happen.
