Nike made a huge merchandising gaffe when the company put up for sale Carolina Panthers t-shirts with the team's logo on the state of South Carolina. The letters "NC" also appear on the shirt. 

The Panthers, unfortunately for Nike, play in North Carolina--in Charlotte.

A reader of the "Scott Says" blog purchased the t-shirt online and received it in the mail. He confirmed the purchase to Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer. 

Nike has since taken the shirt off of its website.

Does anyone out there know basic geography anymore??
