Ace, over at his site, is pegging the sarcasm meter on the president's ideas on how to lower the price of fuel by using algae to solve all our problems. Honestly, why wouldn't President Obama believe that he can conjure up the answer just by imagining it? He got into Harvard without any qualifications, didn't he? He was made the editor of the law review without any qualifications, wasn't he? He won the presidency of the most powerful nation on earth without any visible accomplishments, didn't he? They gave him the Nobel Peace Prize for absolutely nothing, didn't they?
With that history, why wouldn't he legitimately believe that he, like a God, couldn't simply make something like algae produce all the gas we could ever need, just by declaring it to be so?
Ace trenchantly says:
"He lives in a fantasyland of algae and miracles. He is functionally a child. Things will happen because he wants them to happen. He wants the cookie, ergo the cookie jar will spontaneously generate a cookie."
