Non veni pacem mittere, sed gladium.
What a cutie. The term, Built like a brick shithouse comes to mind. Triple everything. For the pilots who don't want anything to go wrong, ever.
Not exactly like a Model T, the Peashooter had an inertial starter. The cranking you see going on gets a heavy flywheel spinning, and then the flywheel is clutched into the engine to get the engine started. My father was a draftee during the Second World War and spent some time at Randolph Field Texas. I had seen the cranking on some movie and he gave me a detailed explanation. The internet explains it at length.
That restoration is remarkable. A true labor of love.
What a beauty!
