And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

1967 Ford Fairlane - That color, should be offered by modern car companies
A neighbor had a '67 Fairlane in dinghy white. Three families worth of kids plus a few others would pack in for a trip to the movie or somewhere fun.
Today I saw a new Charger, Camaro, and Mustang. I felt sad, the new iterations of those classics are reprehensible. Only from certain angles could I tell what it was supposed to be.
A customer could also order the Fairlane and also the full size Ford with one of two 427 cubic inch ‘Cobra’ V-8 engines - one with a single 4-barrel carburetor and the other with two. They were made available for race car applications, usually NASCAR racing. Those engines were rated at 410 and 425 horsepower respectively. These were listed within the regular brochures.

The name of that 'dingy' white was Wimbledon White. It was a standard Ford color for years. I've got a '76 F-350 that's painted Wimbledon White.
