And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? There were little towns nestled alongside of fiord like bays all over the coast of Newfoundland when I served at NAS/NAVCOMSTA Argentia back in the 60's. They had drying racks for codfish outside of every house, which I don't see in this pic.
One of the little towns 40 miles or so up the coast from the base was only accessible by boat until the late 50's. That town also didn't have electricity until the gravel road was put in.
Greenland is a dreadful place, a land that's never green, Where there's ice and snow and the whale fishes blow and the daylight's seldom seen Brave boys, and the daylight's seldom seen.
