Meanwhile, somewhere in Greenland....

  1. There were little towns nestled alongside of fiord like bays all over the coast of Newfoundland when I served at NAS/NAVCOMSTA Argentia back in the 60's. They had drying racks for codfish outside of every house, which I don't see in this pic.

    One of the little towns 40 miles or so up the coast from the base was only accessible by boat until the late 50's. That town also didn't have electricity until the gravel road was put in.
