Had someone call into a zoom meeting using one of these, while driving between Susanville and Old Station (fairly remote). Worked very well, surprisingly.

  1. They work extremely well. I’ve been in in aircraft over the Pacific as well as very remote islands receiving 150 - 200Mbps. Starlink offers different plans including stationary and mobile plans. Very impressive.

    1. We flew on Alaska Airlines in July and their Starlink while airborne was incredibly fast. We've been less-than-happy with our cable/internet provider lately (**shakes fist in their general direction**), and Mrs. azlib has threatened to go straight to Starlink. I'm giggy wit' it. She'd also like to dump our cell phone provider and get Elon's cell phone, but I don't think that those are a thing yet.

    3. I thought 100 km's was 40 furlongs per fortnight.

  3. i've never ridden that route. i've been up 139 through Adin a number of times and it works well heading to central OR. Now i'm interested. have to ride it next summer. No Starlink, though. just old fashioned paper maps, snacks and water and a tank of gas.

  5. When Elon rolls out his cell service I'm thinking of dropping the two different accounts I need now.
