And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Name change because they became tired of telling people how to pronounce it.
A friend, sir name of Riley, had spelt it in the old manner. Over twenty letters, but if you understood the old language of the highland Scots, you would see it was a perfect pronunciation.
In theory, yes. But it was a crappy dogfighter because it wasn't generally fast enough against MiGs, and they only claimed 6 MiG kills. But the .50s did great work for strafing in the CAS role. By the end of the Korean War, the only ones flying only had recon cameras.
Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star. The first USAF jet fighter to see action in Korea until the replaced by the F-86 Sabre.
