And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In Florida until about the late 1990s there were empty beaches like this between Melbourne and Vero Beach. The seabirds there were so unused to people they'd come much closer than in the populated areas. I used to think the beach looked like it came from about the year 1300. The water wasn't as clear as this, though.

This looks like the Florida Gulf coast. Very clear water, no waves and soft sand. I find beaches like this most weekends in Florida
