  1. Except for the sewage vents nearby it looks like a bit of privacy in a busy world.

  4. In a crowded world, a little slice of heaven.
    Paris?
With a bigger window, could be a cozy coding studio.

  5. If this is Paris, I read somewhere that the Parisians are suffering the heat mainly because their roofs are made of metal. I forget the exact composition, but it makes their abodes like ovens.

    1. I wonder how many times Paris burned before they went to metal roofs?

  6. Architecturally nice, but lord, all that lead coated copper standing seem roofing, would not want my little kids and babies near those structures or down stream, super toxic environment for kids and humans of all ages.

    1. Not lead or copper. Zinc. https://theearfultower.com/2023/12/25/zinc-rooftops-of-paris-a-closer-look-at-the-iconic-roofscape/

  7. That's a mono extended dormer with painted steel standing seam roofing.
The mono means it has a single slope roof and the extended means the distance to the roof of origin.

Standing seam metal roofing is the most efficient type in hot weather as it reflects the heat away from the attic, that's why it's a common roofing material in old Florida "Cracker style" homes of the 19th and early 20th centuries. My current office-workshop has silver metal roofing and in the summer the surface is hot to the touch but the underside of the plywood decking in the attic is as cool as a cucumber. It's just one part of a calculated system.
