And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My younger sister, then in junior high, saw him at a restaurant when she was there with a group of friends, She giggled her way to his table and got his autograph. Later they found out he'd also paid for their meal. Class act.
The show was OK. I've watched some reruns on one of these oldie channels and it just isn't believable. I've yet to see one tranny or gay couple in North Fork. How real is that??
Grew up watching The Rifleman, we never got bored with his rifle handling, it looked so lethal the way he slung that carbine around. My grandpa gave me an original Model 1892 in 38-40, was in 2nd grade. Best present in my entire life. Re-barrelled it in .44 mag cause the rifling was plumb worn out of the barrel. One day, do a SBR tax stamp and cut it down to 12 or 14 inch like Chuck's.
Chuck Conners as "The Rifleman."
ReplyDeleteConnors was a big guy. Made that full-size rifle look small
