And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Dad had appliance stores (remember those?) in the 60's and 70's. We sold a lot of those green machines. And the brown mustard color (I forget the color names that were brand-specific), and even some of the yellow and red ones. I sort of miss the old TV sets, and combo stereo/TV cabinets. Carried a lot of them into houses in addition to wheeling in refrigerators, washers, etc..
mid 70s, guy at work has 2 guys who shoplift to order, foreman lines up two appliances. comes back 40 minutes later with "called my wife can we get them in avcado"...
That sure was a style there for awhile.
