And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Haven't been there myself for a while. Great place for mineral collecting. I'm pretty sure it used to be further North. They must have moved it. It's still safe to say it's South of Whitney and pretty good deer country and I guess elk now too. Steve_in_Ottawa
That looks like where I was yesterday. It was raining so hard the parking lot flooded and we has to dig four ditches through the berm to drain it. I go to this same function every year, Sunday after labor day. Been a member for 57 years. This is only the fourth time it's rained in all those years. We've had days when it has been overcast, but no rain. Usually it's sunny and cool.
You'd be happy here CW. Frost "up da line" in Bancroft this AM, just NW of Ottawa. Steve_in_Ottawa
ReplyDeleteI know I would be. Been to Canada ( a long time ago) and loved it.
DeleteNW of Ottawa... they must have moved Bancroft since the last time I was there.. (j/k)

DeleteBoreal rain forrest, in winter, can see the major frost line across the mountains, got that at altitude in WV too, almost exactly 3000 ft alt.
ReplyDeleteMore like west-south-west surely?

It was 83°F here in Northern Idaho yesterday when it started to hail.
ReplyDeleteI’m ready for things to cool off.
