And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was going through the freshwater rods & reels and I found my wife's light weight Zebco 33 froze up. I might be able to save it but a new Micro 33 is $22 with fresh line on it. She is not ready for this rig. It is my preferred rig for going after pond large mouth bass and Clark's Hill Hybrids.
The pond in front of the house has 1/2 lb large mouth bass. They are catch and release now as I want 2 to 3 pounders only once a 4 pounder is caught and anything above 5 pounds. The brim are at a fair harvest but on the small size. Next year will be better. I will pass for now. The catfish are not worth the trouble, maybe in a year or two. The dam burst 3 years ago with a restock a year after repair and a year after I bought in. I need to put an aerator on it and auto feeder but that may make next years budget along with another variety of bass. The problem is I own less than half but we have about the same shoreline footage on a 1.1 acre pond.
Is it true that lines with red reels go faster? Or are you more likely to be pulled over by the Fish & Game Warden with a red reel than a reel of other colors?
