Persian ceremonial helmet

  1. Talk about a lot of work to make that. Wow. Had to be some high noble's armor. Only lacking jewels, so its not a royal family helmet but a high ranked officers?

  2. I remember discussions of whether viking helmets actually had horns on them. Now the Persians show us that one culture really did, although maybe just for ceremony. What year was this made?

  3. Early 19th century "Turkic" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkic_peoples) helmets have a variety of horned versions. Rifles pretty much put an end of the usefulness of armor in general other than ceremonial.
