And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The meal to order was a chopped sirloin, mushroom gravy, and french fries. Supposedly the President of Holiday Inn at the time loved this meal, and was known to make surprise visits and order it. Not knowing if, or when, he might show up; they ingredients were always fresh.
I can almost still smell the cigarette smoke in the dining room pics. One could get a 428 cu in monster in a Ford like the blue one in the first picture. A friend had one and the top end was unbelievable.
when I lived in Carrollton GA in the mid 80s, the Holiday Inn was THE place to be on a Friday or Saturday night, their bar/restaurant had a live band and it was always packed with locals eating drinking and dancing.
