And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
looks like NH to me, had a similar place like that, old long defunct farm, before the vultures took over, one could get 5 acres and a farm house with barn for around 45 grand on the local word of mouth market, alls you need agriculturally speaking, is a usable 5 acres, and independence, if employed smartly, enough to feed oneself and have extra to sell or share, a well planned and carefully tended one acre truck garden, is A LOT of food if your raising the vital staples.
All of the homes in my "development" in eastern Colorado have five or ten acres. I have a really nice outbuilding that is my pottery studio. We also have an all-metal horse barn. Life is good.
I would love that backyard...
ReplyDeleteDitto!! And the nearest neighbor 2 miles down the road.
DeleteIf it was some serious acreage, I wouldn't mind it in the FRONT yard.
