  2. How is something like that done? Do they carve or create a statue like that, and then cast it in bronze with something like lost wax casting? They don't create that out of a hunk of bronze by carving, right?

    1. Usually they are cast, but I don't know for sure on this particular piece. However, certainly they are not carved from a solid chunk.

      Massive effort for results that stand the test of time.
