And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have a friend who flew recon missions for the USAF and I asked him when he ever was "scared" or really uncomfortable. He said flying the Voodoo at an altitude (he didn't say what) that he could actually see the Earth's curvature. That was well over 60 years ago.
The RCAF flew Voodoos well into the '80s. They were armed with Genie A-bomb missiles to take down Russian bombers. A lot of the lessons learned on the Voodoo helped design the F4. Al_in_Ottawa

If I did my tail number research correctly, the Voodoo in the background was retired by USAF in 1968 and transferred to the RCAF in 1971.
