And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? As an accent lamp they are good. As a primary lamp they blow. When we moved into our house 20 years ago it had 6 of these fixtures "ceiling mounted" on the 1st floor and the lighting output was dismal. I yanked all of them and donated them to Habitat and replaced them with fixtures that put out some decent light. Just try to cook a meal in a kitchen with 2 of them as your sole source of illumination. I kept one and it's in a box in the workshop.

I’m just curious, but have you ever known happiness in your life? Maybe for just one fleeting moment?

DeleteLooks like a pissed-off wife, with her hands on her hips.
ReplyDeleteAlways loved Tiffany's lamps, all the styles, they look like antiques even brandy new, their cast bronze bases are very nicely done too. Real quality.
