    1. Keep your vices to yourself! That's a vise.
As for my vices, I drink a bit.

  3. I have one of those but with only three of the half round grippers. Really come in handy when you need it. I think mine is a German model but will have check on that.

  4. Whats that vise cost? I know a regular 6 inch KURT is upwards of $700, for base model.

    1. Amazon will sell you a kit for about 3 grand. Or you can 3D print one. If you're a real machinist, pretty trivial to make (think CNC), though tedious. They've enjoyed a vogue recently after having been largely ignored for the past 75-100 years, probably due to a recent Adam Savage youtube. Really not all that useful, frankly, which is why they largely disappeared for so long. Stop and think about it: when was the last time you needed to grab something like a Crescent wrench in a vise? Novelty item.

Unlike the Kurt style vises, which are ubiquitous. Glacern, Orange, Kurt, even Shars sell those by the thousands.

    2. Be handy for grabbing castings, save jig making time, though i got MightyBite's for the KURT, work pretty well for one off pieces.
