    1. It is.
      About 1400 cubic kilometers of water evaporate from the oceans and the rest of the surface of the planet each day.
      This water returns in the form of rain, and that is fresh water.

  4. I bet this happens a lot. Can't say "regularly" because that implies something like a predictable schedule when reality is more like "it happens when conditions are right".
