    1. change insur company's.
In 1972 I paid $1000 for a 1966 Mustang hipo, and a years worth of insur at Nationwide was $74. - easily afforded.

  4. Straight six in that model? Always wondered how those actually performed.

    1. Last 6cyl was 55'. That's a 61. I restored and showed a 60' black vette with
the 270 hp 2-4 engine option. Top option was the fuel injected high lift cam.
All engines were 283 V-8s from early 55 until the introduction of the 327 in
      62.

Knew Alloway when he was starting building rods. Bought a 1937 Chevy
Coupe he found in a barn in Blount county. It actually started and ran after
sitting for 25- 30 years.I drove it home to Knoxville. (Still have it today)

  6. I think it looks fantastic but suspect its not standard. Is it OK to fiddle with a classic like this?

  7. Very true but here in the UK they end up stuck in slow moving traffic along with everyone else.

  8. My BF bought as his first car for $800 in 73. It was a 58 and was missing some grill and had to have brake & seat fixes.
