And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The commissioner Lee MacPhail made it an even bigger mess setting the stage for future "Tom Brady" type rulings. Brett should have been suspended for a couple of games for this kind of crap.
A prime example of why professional sports are not worth watching. No suspensions. He should be out of the ball park for the entire season and not allowed inside even with a ticket or in the owner's box.
In San Francisco, umpires allowed the coaches to kick dirt on them and spit on them instead of just throwing the coach out of the ball park.
Nope. It's past time to change the channel or turn it off entirely and do something worthwhile.
Pine tar too far up the bat. Billy Martin kept that rule stashed away until he could use it as a weapon. It worked. Billy was a tactical and strategic genius. Ok, a prick too.
