And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
What a glorious sound, too bad that the V-12 makes it power up high and that droning one rpm on a Ferrari motor will take out the bearings from crank vibrations. Up and down the rev range is what they like. The opposite of a Indy Offenhauser which was designed to have max output in a very narrow powerband for 500 miles. One of the reasons you never saw Offys in road races.
There used to be power boat races on the Detroit River. Boats just like the one in the pic only longer. They tossed up a lot of water behind them in a ~20 ft tall arc called a roostertail. A restaurant downtown was named 'The Roostertail' for it.
