  2. Just love the striping over the fender. And seeing a tire with some sidewall rather than the new ultra ultra low profile rubber that they slap on everything these days is refreshing

I agree with the little band aid tires looking ridiculous on a street car but they do allow for a larger dia. brake assembly and if there was one thing the GT 40 needed - it was better brakes - especially at LeMans. Coming off the Mulsanne straight you had to brake from <200 mph to 40 mph and about three laps of that would set the brakes on fire - then you had to pull into the pit with no brakes. I'll bet it was pretty sporty down in pit row........ The orignal GT 40 had many problems but it WAS a beautiful thing to look at.
