And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was rolling into Roswell one afternoon, and a Wobbly blew over me heading in to the airport. It was one of the loudest aircraft I've heard. Even just easing in for a landing. Screechy loud. Very very cool, though.
It's crazy how the F-117 became obsolete not long after the public became aware of them. They did serve their purpose though....there was lots of sneaky stuff happening in north central Nevada in the 80's and 90's. Related....I saw a B-2 do a low approach one time as I was taxiing out for takeoff in Cincinatti. The thing looked like a shadow moving through the middle of the air.
