If I thought these would grow where I live I'd have a huge patch of them.

  1. They'll grow, just need to prevent direct sun and heat from killing them.
Next year I intend to branch into that area.
$50 for 5 roots is waaaay to spensive.
Should be no more than $3-5 max.

  2. Raspberries will grow nearly anywhere if they get enough water and the proper sun.
    (Not too much, but enough)

If you want 'em, and are willing to make a place for them, they will grow.

    1. i've been "cultivating" wild ones for quite a few years now. they're real picky about how much sun and shade they get daily. if it gets out of balance, they give up pretty quick.

    2. They grew inside my garden shed with no windows. Looked bad, but they grew.

  3. Find somebody who has some and dig some shoots. Spread like weeds. One's I have bear lightly mid summer but like gang busters in early Fall. Prone to Japanese beetles.

  4. We've had several everbearing raspberries for years. Here in zone 4 I never can pick more than a handful a week so I never get jam or pie :-( This season my wife put in some summer bearing that we hope will come on in a big enough bunch to make more than a snack. YMMV

  5. I prefer and grow thornless black berries, and of course, I pick all the wild ones I can

  6. Plant them on the north side of your house. They’ll do ok.
