And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Bosch for me but most of my older tools are Porter Cable. Lowe's stopped carrying them and HD never did. When the tool breaks down in the middle of the work day I need something accessable.
Porter Cable is headed to the dust of history. I work at a large midwestern woodworking store....the news on the street is Porter Cable is going bye bye in the next couple of years.
The whole tool industry has been a nightmare for the past 20+ years. Every time you turn around another name brand is being bought out by another name brand and none of them are what they once were. And the quality of everything has dropped to shitter grade levels. I've been fairly lucky with the Ryobi brand of 18v cordless tool for more than 20 years now. I have about 30 of them and use the hell out of them regularly. If I was to buy a new router now (I have a 40 yo Craftsman) it would be the big 3-1/4hp Porter Cable.
This is a very good router, the Porter Cable routers were very good also, but the old Stanley's were almost indestructible. Probably routed thousands of redwood signs with only a brush and bearing change every year or two. Still have a couple after 50 years.
Go Porter Cable or stay on the porch.

DeleteI have a couple of these and have been happy with their performance.
