It boggles my mind how someone would just drive the car and that boat out into he middle of a field somewhere...and just walk away. I get the same feeling when I see old farm houses. What was the family like that owned them? What were the good times and bad times the family shared? Why would they just walk away from it and leave it?
To me it looks like it got caught in a flood and was never pulled out.
