And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Breaking the bonds of surly earth. -- at least for a short moment
Probably not. He's not aimed to run off the side of the track, and as long as he doesn't land on the tailpiece he's good to go. Generally, too much airtime only matters if you overrun an approaching corner after touching down, or another rider crests slower, then accelerates past you while you are coasting in air. Landing on another bike you are lapping is also possible.
Tracks that have real altitude changes make for fun and challenging racing. Many years ago, Kenny Roberts Sr stated that if you could handle racing at Sears Point Raceway, you could race anywhere. That was his home track. The three tracks in CA that I raced at, Sears Point, Laguna Seca, and Willow Springs, all had elevation changes that added to the challenge.
1 more second of air and this story would have a different ending.

The power to weight ratio is nothing short of intoxicating with super bikes or even sport bikes these days.
