However, there will be an appeal by the non-American California Secretary of State, and whether the decision stands will depend on which judges here it.
At least it won't go to a Hawaiian court.
But for sure it is a win for individual rights.
And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Our victories seem incremental at times, but they are still victories.

ReplyDeleteI'm certain a petition for en banc review will be filed. Most likely it will be several years. Until then permission for rights will be required but not given. Screw 'em side ways with a cactus.
