The Osprey was back this afternoon, but his presence was not appreciated by a local jaybird.

The Osprey didn't have a fish this time, but he did have a fearless enemy who eventually succeed in pestering him so much that he flew away.

The Osprey is a noble bird, for sure.

About to get a couple feathers pecked out of the back of his head.

  1. Crows are 'harpies' of the bird world. They're rather not have the raptors around.

  2. I've seen the local scrub jays up there do the same thing with cats, sometimes to their own detriment.
