Mondays, they're like that

  1. Tell me you can't hear Curly.

Every guy I've met speaks highly of the 3 Stooges.
Every gal I've met can't stand the 3 Stooges.

    1. True observation, I've been saying the same thing for years. But why? Too "cerebral"? Lol.

    2. The Three Stooges are an icon. Curly is the Master Stooge.

  2. Ironically and tragically, in a way they really were stooges. They were trained vaudevillians who started work as kids, but they didn't quite grasp how Hollywood and the film industry was a very different business. Their screen producer kept their widely-enjoyed success in theaters a secret from them and they continued working for quite low wages, never knowing their true worth as stars in new-found Hollywood. The studio made a fortune off them.

Curly died pretty young after a series of strokes and I've always wondered how much of that was due to the many blows to the head he suffered.

As a kid we used to have to sneak in the Stooges when we could. My mother detested them. I still find some of their wit pretty funny and fresh.
