  1. Nice. I am so stealing that. Every Christmas in high school I got a brick of Super X .22 LR, which lasted until about the end of May. My rifle was a Remington M581 bolt action which I still have.

  2. Still have my Henry .22 magnum lever action....great gun, accurate, cheap to shoot, stopping power, and you can carry a ton of ammo without much bother....

  3. Yup, that.

Winchester was the ammunition of choice early on. Super X yellow box for hunting, Wildcat (white box with pouncing bobcat) for plinking. That was how Dad rolled. Later, Federal Lightning (blue box with yellow lightning bolt) was the plinking ammunition. Dad was a Winchester man through and through.

And funny thing, the Marlin 39 Mountie and Ruger Single-Six (pre Super) held zero for both loads. That or our wobbly holds self-compensated and worked. ???
