Got no idea if this is a good thing, but the reviews were positive

  1. They've been around for a long time, and they can make good coffee.

    I think they're messy, though.
    I prefer a French Press.

    1. Yup scamorama. I discovered the French Press in a small west of Ireland B&B back in early 1990s. I was skeptical when I first laid eyes on it but WOW! It produced a fantastic cup of coffee.

    2. Bought my first Melior in '79, and used it for years until it developed a crack.
And they are NOT safe if there's a crack.

  2. I can totally recommend this method.....but the filters are a bit pricey. Just use a one mug dripper (ceramic or plastic) for the same outcome and you can use cheap #4 cone filters. It's quick and it's my favorite coffee making method. I use a nearly espresso grind....just slightly more coarse.

  3. Absolutely nothing beats the Bialetti Moka Pot AKA Cafetera Cubana

  4. I use a cone with a stopper at the bottom, the filter & coffee goes in, the boiling water and they it sets for about 3 minutes. Put in to the cup & that opens the stopper at the bottom.
Toss the filter and I'm no my way.
I used to use a French press but this is way easier to clean and the filters are cheap.
