And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Got no idea if this is a good thing, but the reviews were positive
Yup scamorama. I discovered the French Press in a small west of Ireland B&B back in early 1990s. I was skeptical when I first laid eyes on it but WOW! It produced a fantastic cup of coffee.
I can totally recommend this method.....but the filters are a bit pricey. Just use a one mug dripper (ceramic or plastic) for the same outcome and you can use cheap #4 cone filters. It's quick and it's my favorite coffee making method. I use a nearly espresso grind....just slightly more coarse.
I use a cone with a stopper at the bottom, the filter & coffee goes in, the boiling water and they it sets for about 3 minutes. Put in to the cup & that opens the stopper at the bottom. Toss the filter and I'm no my way. I used to use a French press but this is way easier to clean and the filters are cheap.
They've been around for a long time, and they can make good coffee.
ReplyDeleteI think they're messy, though.
I prefer a French Press.
Agree.

DeleteBought my first Melior in '79, and used it for years until it developed a crack.
DeleteAnd they are NOT safe if there's a crack.
