And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Great pics, CW!!! Burney falls is a very special place. When it's 105 degrees on top, it's 20-25 degrees cooler in the canyon. The trail downstream to Lake Britton is beautiful, and above the falls there are thousands of jets of the purest water you'll ever drink bubbling right out of the ground. About 15 miles away is Hat Creek, with some trophy trout, and some of the best fly-fishing anywhere. But those dang fish are really smart! CW, you live in the best part of California. Beauty in all directions.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I was stationed in Beiber with CDF Helitack in 1981-82 and visited, fished these waters often. I miss it.
