A very interesting read on our latest, greatest destroyer.

  1. What a frightening looking monster, glad it's on my side

  2. I observed a demonstration of the remote fire control system for the close in weapons systems. The target was a low speed float. The reaction time and accuracy on target were terrible.

  3. These crates are laughable.

Bring back the BBs. If you're going down at least you can look good.

  4. CNO Zumwalt starting turning the USN into a Politically Correct branch. This miserable, overpriced and poorly designed Papa Oscar Charlie adds to a
bloated and operationally challenged Fleet. Sad days.

  5. That's a puff PR piece: lipstick for pigs.
    They suck. Officially, and unofficially.

The Zumwalts, like their fruitcake namesake, are purely an embarrassment and a naval oddity, and the less said about either example the better.

  6. "Great ships"???
Not by any criteria worth using. Absolute waste of money and materials.

  7. It is demonstrably a joke at best. These things are a waste of money, time, man-hours, and man-power. Give me an old frigate or ddg, BB or CGN and we can talk. Zummies and the LCS are trash.

    1. they aren't totally worthless. they will, once ensconced into a fleet formation absorb fire which would otherwise go at a vessel of some greater value, like a water scow.
