And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Hi CW, What a trip, Beech 18's "On Floats!!" no less!!! If I had a nickle for every "10-MAN STAR" we went for out of one of those,(without floats of course!!) I'd be good for at least a couple 'a cases of BEER!! Early "Skydivin'" was done mostly from 4 to 6 place Cessnas. Then some DZO introed a Beech 18. Ya' could generally get 10 jumpers in one, $7.50 (in the early 70's) to 12,500 ft. Down the hall, tun right and "DIVE!!!!" down to the "BASE!!" Too Much FUN!! The "Turbine Babies" of today "Have No Clue!!!" SCR-2034, SCS-680, B-4240, C-3114, D-6009, skybill-out
Exceptionally cool.
ReplyDeleteA guarantee against a boring life.
