My grand-daddy use to take me to the Majestic Theater in Paterson, NJ back in the 1940's to see them and Abbot & Costello. Those were the days when there were NO commercials, the Star Spangled Banner was played and the audience recited the Pledge of Allegiance (Everyone stood for both right hand over heart! I miss those days.
ToeJam, I was originally from South Paterson and remember the Majestic, the U.S., The Fabian, the Rivoli and the Garden. Could spend all day at the movies for a quarter. And we did!
