And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Shooting Star?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a P-80 Shooting Star but it's the F-94 Starfire all weather variant of the venerable old P-80 (Shooting Star). There were quite a large number of X-type variants of this same airframe/wing design with different engine options. As you will imagine, it has a lower stall speed than an F-86, but the top end speed was simply never enough to allow the Shooting Star series to compete with the MiGs.
DeleteExcellent! Thanks for that great info.
