Specifically, how to know if you have been there too long?

The list is long and instructive.

For instance, if this starts to appear to be an appetizing meal to you, it might be that a little too much China has seeped into your psyche.

  1. FYI, that's a dead squid. When you pour soy sauce over it, the salt in the sauce activates the muscles in the dead squid and it dances for you before you consume it. To some people, it's cuisine.

    1. That is just amazing. To some people that is indeed cuisine. We should keep in mind that the Japanese have their poisonous blowfish, the Icelanders their rotten shark, and the Swedes their surstromming.
